Article Marketing Tips: How Important Is Your Article Title?

How Important Is Your Article Title?

It depends on your article marketing goals. Are you writing articles to influence your link popularity in the search engines? Or are you writing articles to attract humans to your website? Or if you are really clever, you are probably aiming to achieve both. ;-)

For SEO link popularity, you need to put your primary target keywords at the front end of your title.

If you are writing to attract humans to your website, by way of the article, then you need to construct an actual title (headline) that will ensure that your article gets opened and read, so that your link in your resource box can be seen and get clicked.

If you are trying to do both, then you should construct your title (headline) to attract the human reader, while keeping in mind the secondary goal of creating a title that will appeal to the search engines.

Very literally, there are thousands of articles written by copywriters in regards to writing good headlines (article titles) and I would recommend reading as many as you can put your hands on.
